The shape of the master usually duplicates the manufactured part and they are used for the zero-setting of measuring instruments (with electronic sensors or dial gauges).
Masters are available in the following types of materials:
- Standard steel for ARNE gauges (61÷63 HRC)
– C 0.95 Mn 1.1 Cr 0.6 W 0.6 V 0.1 - Super-fast steel (HSS) S 600 (64÷65 HRC)
– X82 WMo 0605 - Stainless steel AISI 440 C (60÷62 HRC)
Surface coatings to increase hardness, wear resistance, and/or to reduce the friction coefficient are available upon request.
They are supplied with Calibration Reports.
